Smoked Maple Salmon with Fresh Garden Salad (Submitted by Marg)

Ingredients: - 
1 side of salmon
Maple Syrup
1 lemon
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Salad greens and veges of your choice 
METHOD: - 
Place the salmon on a dish suitable for the smoker.
Debone the side of the salmon.
Pour some Maple Syrup on to a tablespoon and gently tip and brush over salmon,
Season salmon with chopped garlic, salt and pepper.
Thinly slice the lemon and place slices on the salmon.
Prepare salad. asparagus goes really with this as well - 
Please Note:
The smoker needs to be ready with a gentle fire. We use a cheap smoker and manuka chips and put meths in the small fire dish.
It takes about about 10 minutes to be ready to cook. The salmon takes between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the size of the salmon - This is a delicious, light, satisfying celebration meal.
