Ingredients: -
Jar of cranberry jelly (like Ocean Spray- whole berry one is the best)
Butter
Liquor of choice (e.g., red wine, bourbon, whiskey, sherry)
METHOD: -
Put jar of cranberry jelly in a pot and heat on medium heat with a knob of butter.
Stir to break up jelly and stir until smooth and bring up to a simmer.
Add 2 x tablespoons of your favourite alcohol and stir through.
Pour over roast meat... especially good with venison. But also lovely with turkey, chicken, pork or beef.
So, so, simple yet so tasty. I just use whatever alcohol I have on hand and enjoy experimenting.
Makes a smooth, rich sauce, that tastes like a million dollars.
