Ingredients:
4 slices sandwich bread
Butter (or margarine – optional)
Cream cheese
1/4 cucumber
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp dill, fresh (or mint)
METHOD:
Spread butter or margarine on half the slices of bread, and cream cheese on the other half.
Peel and slice the cucumber thinly.
Layer the cucumber slices on the buttered side.
Add a little salt and pepper onto the cucumber.
Sprinkle the dill or mint leaves over the cucumbers.
Place the bread with the cream cheese on top.
With the palm of your hand, gently hold each sandwich down as you cut the crusts off with a serrated knife.
Serve on a silver platter.
