Marinated Fish: -
Fresh fish, terakihi, just a fish that doesn't flake
Coconut cream
Add salt to taste.
Finely chopped onion, (and capsicum if you want)
Good pinch of cayenne pepper
Ground black pepper

METHOD: -
Cube a dense fish, less than 1 inch square, squeeze enough lemons to cover fish in.
Leave to marinate, fish will go white.
Strain off juice, be a bit gentle. Add your finely chopped onion, capsicum, then pour over coconut cream, taste, add cayenne, taste again, till it’s perfect.
My family go crazy with this dish!
Goes with chop suey, ham, roast pork, and it’s even better for the next few days breakfast.... If there's any left!! -
