Ingredients:
2 chicken thighs
4 unpeeled garlic cloves
2 onions cut into wedges
Olive oil
Juice of a lemon
2 Tbsp Honey
Salt to taste
Ground pepper to taste
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 180 C. Heat a frying pan, add the olive oil, add the onions and sauté until translucent.
Rinse and dry the chicken thighs well. Place in a baking dish.
Add the onions, salt, and pepper. Add parsley mixed with lemon juice and mix well. You can add your favourite chicken spices, but it is optional.
Pour the honey into a small cup and brush the chicken thighs with a kitchen brush. Add the jacketed garlic cloves.
Drizzle with olive oil and bake in the middle of the oven. You can add half a glass of water.
While cooking, baste the chicken thighs with the sauce. Cook the thighs for approximately 1 hour – 1 ½ hours, the flesh should come off easily.
Serve with vegetables and mashed potatoes.
