Waldorf Salad
Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled, cored and diced
2 stalks celery, sliced
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup purple grapes, rinsed and halved
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp plain yoghurt
3 cups green leaf lettuce
METHOD:
Mix mayonnaise and yoghurt together. If it is too thick add a dash of milk to thin it down.
Place the apples, celery, walnuts, grapes and raisins in a bowl and pour the dressing over. Toss lightly to coat.
Layer bowl with the lettuce, then add the mixed salad. Nice side dish with any kind of fish, chicken or meat dish.
