Ingredients: -
1 x silverside roast
2 onions small halved
1 large carrot, peeled, sliced into lengths
2 potatoes, peel, and slice into segments
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup malt brown vinegar
2 garlic cloves
2 1/2 bay leaves
2L Beef Stock
Water
Broccoli for serving
METHOD: -
Place all ingredients in the slow cooker, with silverside on top of the vegetables. Ensure silverside is emerged in the stock and water.
Cook on low for 6½ hours until tender and slightly falling apart.
Allow to rest for 10 mins under foil before serving.
Serve with vegetables from the slow cooker and accompany with freshly cooked broccoli and a nice gravy of your choice.
