Ingredients: -
500g prime beef mince,
2 Tbsp butter,
1 stick of celery, finely diced,
1 medium onion, finely diced,
1 red capsicum, peeled & finely diced,
Salt & pepper, to taste,
Pinch of chili powder,
¼ cup tomato sauce,
¼ cup of water -
To Serve: -
Fresh parsley,
6 burger buns, toasted -
METHOD: -
Melt the butter (oil can be used if preferred?), in a heavy frying pan add the onion, celery and capsicum (all finely diced). Fry over a moderate heat until the onion is translucent.
Add the minced beef and raise the heat. If there are any lumps in the meat use a wooden spoon to break them up, and fry until meat starts to brown. Season with salt, pepper and chilli powder. Add the tomato sauce and moisten with a little water. Simmer for a few mins, then add the parsley and spoon onto toasted burger buns.
Serve.
