Ingredients: -
800g of beef mince
1 medium onion, finely sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp parsley, chopped
Salt & pepper to season
Oil -
Burger Sauce: -
5o ml of tomato ketchup
50g mustard
Chunky Chips: -
6 potatoes
Salt & pepper to seasoning
To Serve: -
4 hamburger buns
Leaves from half of a fancy green lettuce
2 tomatoes, sliced
METHOD: -
Hamburger Patties: -
In a pan over a medium heat, sweat the onion and garlic in a little olive oil until translucent. Allow to cool.
Mix with the beef mince and the rest of the ingredients, worcestershire sauce, parsley. Shape into 4 even burger patties, using a press or by hand. Chill the patties for 30 mins in the fridge -
Chunky Chips: -
Peel potatoes, cut into thick chips and wash well under cold water. Place in a pan and cover with cold water. Season and bring to the boil. Once boiling, remove from the heat and drain (Make sure not to break chips). Spread out on a tray to cool and dry.
Season the burger patties and sear both sides in a hot pan with oil. Transfer to the oven and set at 180 °C. Allow to cook through for 10 mins. Remove the burger patties from the oven.
Deep fry the chips at 180 °C, until crispy and golden, then drain and season -
Sauce: -
Mix the ketchup and mustard together in a bowl to make the burger sauce.
Place the burger patties in the buns along with lettuce and sliced tomato and serve with chunky chips.
Serve with your favourite sauces and mayonnaise.
