Ingredients: -
4 Pork Chops (bone in)
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and Pepper, to taste
4 cloves garlic, diced
3 Tbsp honey
3 Tbsp soy sauce
⅓ cup chicken stock
1 Tbsp butter
Olive oil, for cooking
METHOD: -
Preheat oven to 200°C.
Add ground ginger, garlic powder to a small dish and whisk together. Coat pork chops in seasoning blend and add salt and pepper, to taste.
Add butter and olive oil to a cast iron skillet/oven safe pan and warm over medium heat. Sear pork chops until brown on both sides, about 4 minutes each side. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
Add soy sauce, honey, and diced garlic to the skillet and mix together. Warm for about 3-5 minutes and add chicken stock. Place pork chops back in the skillet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until thoroughly cooked - Serve on a bed of rice with cooked celery sticks.
