Ingredients:-
500 g beef chuck steak
1 onion
2 carrots
2 parsnips
2 potatoes
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup hot water
2 beef stock cubes
¼ cup sherry
¼ cup tomato paste
2 Tbsp corn flour
2 Tbsp water
METHOD:-
Trim fat from meat. Cut meat into 2cm cubes. Place in crockpot.
Peel and chop onion. Scrub and dice carrots, parsnips and potatoes. Add to crockpot with pepper, hot water and crumbled stock cubes, sherry and tomato paste. Mix corn flour and water together. Pour into crockpot and turn to high, cook 3-4 hours or until tender. Serve with vegetables or salad.
